Sharat Karthick

Sarath Karthick Ramachandran is a versatile percussionist who has mastered the art of playing Tabla and Drums. He has been honing his skills for the past 10 years at the renowned KM Music Conservatory. In numerous concerts, he has accompanied stalwarts like Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, Drums Shivamani and Shekar Kapur at the young age of 15. Under the able guidance of Shri.Rajesh Dhavale he mastered playing Tabla imbibing the traditions of Ustad Hidayat Khan Sahib, Jahangir Khan, Sahib Gharana and Mehaboob Khan Sahib. He learnt the nuances of playing drums from Shri Deepan and Shri. Anantha R Krishnan. He has also performed in the presence of VIP like Shri. Mukesh Ambani & Family, Shri. Manirathnam and Shri. Umayalpuram Sivaraman. He has played Tabla in Sufi Qawali shows as well. He is the “Astana Vidwan” at His Holiness Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt, Kanchipuram. He was featured as the “Young Achiever of the year, 2014” by Times of India. He is the founder and lead drummer of the band “Millennium Ensemble” and it was debuted in Marghazhi Madhyam 2019. He has performed as a special guest on Star Vijay TV- a national television channel.
