Bhanu Roy

Formerly learnt under the tutelage of maestro Ptd. Ravi Shankar 1953-2000. Learned Hindustani classical vocal music from Bhatkhande Music Academy, Luckhnow, in 1965. Earned PGT Degree, Honours Grad in Classical instrumental Music from Allahabad Music University, India in 1966.

Gurus Highlights

  1. On invitation went to Europe 1973-82, mainly in Germany for lecture demonstration in many Muzik Hochshule, as Heidelberg, Berlin, Munich etc. Performances and regular classes were televised and aired by Deutschewelle, RIAS etc.

  2. Appearance in periodicals and appreciated by the National dignitaries including President of India Gyani Zail Singh and President R. K Narayanan as a chief guest.

  3. As a judge in the panel Screened contestants for "Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" by Zee TV in non-classical Bollywood movie music presentation.
