On the completion of this course, students will be ready to play simple carnatic songs (Krithis) on the guitar. This course would give the students a great head start on the techniques of playing the Indian Carnatic Music on a modern western instrument thereby making the course unique.

Prerequisites
Students who are new to any form of music, New to Carnatic music, New to guitar, People who have learnt other forms of guitar.
Course Goals
The following will be covered in this course: Basics of Music, Basics of Carnatic Music, Music theory and fundamentals of guitar, Varisaigal, Alankarams, Geetham and Swarajathi, Basic Carnatic Krithis. Students will be able to play simple Carnatic music songs on the completion of this course.
